I want to know the method of changing the bike's max turn value.
Posted by: wmlabsteam - 07-28-2020, 04:11 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (7)

I want to let bike turns 90 degrees to the left or right. So, I found the parameter named "MaxTurn" in the VZPlayer script. But it cannot change the bike's max turning degree when I adjust the MaxTurn value. Is there any parameter can work for it or any function can be called for it?

  No Google data in Explorer?
Posted by: SquirrelE - 07-28-2020, 12:27 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (5)

My last couple of rides, I have been having an odd issue that I've never seen before. On Tuesday, I tried to start the Fjallabacka, Sweden course (second one on second page of Suggested rides) and all I saw was empty, blue void. No path dots, no Streetview... just blue. I was starting from the end, if that makes any difference. After trying a few different option settings, I gave up and tried a couple other courses, but ran into the same issue. No error messages appear, but there's just nothing there. The HUD updates if I start pedaling, and if I have a trainer active, they're urging me to "pick it up" as if I'm supposed to know where I'm going.

Anyway, I gave up on that for the day and just did a ride in one of the games, which worked fine. I had some Internet problems later in the week, but once that was resolved, I tried to do another Explorer ride on Saturday. Once again, I tried to start the Fjallabacka ride, and this time everything was working again. Or, so I thought. I made it about half way and suddenly ran out of path dots and could not progress any further. Exiting Explorer and coming back in, I tried to resume the ride, only to be met with the empty blue void again. This time though, I tried a different course and it worked, and I was able to complete that one with no problems.

I'm using a Go, and both it and Explorer are updated to the latest versions, so far as I know. Has anyone else seen anything like this or have any idea what might be going on?

Posted by: NatashaScot - 07-27-2020, 10:44 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

Hi.

I signed up for VZfit and have revived the invitation email to VZ Explorer but not the Play component.

As it was the VZfit Play that I wanted in the first place....

Anyone from VZfit able to help?

Thanks
Natasha

  No data at that locatiopn
Posted by: salviati - 07-25-2020, 12:55 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (2)

I tried to start a ride by inputting the lat/long of the beginning location, but got the above message, or something like that.

This is an off-road street view created by a google backpacker.  I occupied an X on the google street view, and then put that into to the beginning location.  With the said result.

The LL is 37.9855339,-109.6238896

thoughts?

Is it possible to edit rides for Explorer?
Posted by: laurel - 07-23-2020, 09:12 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (6)

Had a terminal slide-out this morning at the start of the Atigun Pass in my 500 mile Prudhoe Bay to Fairbanks Alaska ride in Explorer. I was trapped in a major slide-out and eventually couldn't go forward or backwards. Coordinates where I came to rest: 68.13101,-149.43982.

Remapped it starting about half a mile further on (best I can tell) and continued riding with several lesser slide-outs, thankfully each only lasting seconds, until things seemed to stabilize once I was off the pass.

What causes this problem? I'd experienced minor slide-outs before but nothing to worry about. This area of the ride is quite twisting with large changes in elevation - is this a factor?

Is there an editing tool that would let us review this and make corrections? Google My Maps shows no problems with the route that I can see. I'd love to share the whole ride.

This is Google My Maps generated route.

I'm not using autosteer and am in Country view.

Enjoying this soooo much! Thanks.

  Monitoring only?
Posted by: KaylaKaze - 07-23-2020, 05:57 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

Has there been any thought to having a lightweight, phone capable, monitoring only program? This would be useful for me right now, for example, since I need to watch several hours of video for work. It'd be great to exercise while I did it, but if I'm not using the VzFit apps on my quest, my exercise wouldn't be monitored on my VzFit account and I'd like to have that info in one place (and I've had trouble finding other places where I can use just a cadence sensor).

  Road alignment improvement
Posted by: emalafeew - 07-22-2020, 03:15 PM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

Our last Explorer release contained an improvement to road alignment on image transitions.

It doesn't help with any of the depth artifacts you can see on image transitions, but you should see road edges and markings line up better and more consistently in this build than before.

This change will also enable "points of interests" in country and comfort modes. Currently they are limited to city mode, but in the next build we'll be making them a global option. And down the line we're thinking about custom POI you can add to your rides!

  Upload of KML
Posted by: Hanne - 07-21-2020, 06:24 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (3)

I can't seem to upload a new route. I keep getting the message: Can't determine location. I've tried several routes, and several different ways to describe the location.

Ride on South Bank of Thames, London
Posted by: Aris_Hrath - 07-20-2020, 07:38 PM - Forum: Ride Reviews - No Replies

I just uploaded a 1.5 mile trip along the south bank of the Thames called Aris Hastings' London Trip 350, I believe. It runs from Southwark Bridge to Westminster Bridge. There's a bit of a crowd around Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, but other than that I hope people will enjoy the unimpeded ride. If you are particularly interested in the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye and the Globe, I'd ride it in the provided orientation. If you're more interested in good views of St. Paul's Cathedral and the skyscrapers of the City, I'd reverse direction.
I hope you enjoy!

  Great Ocean Road Australia
Posted by: mguerena - 07-20-2020, 06:56 PM - Forum: Ride Reviews - No Replies

I just shared a segment of the Great Ocean Ride in Victoria Australia. It starts in Apollo Bay and ends at Bells Beach. (See attached map for exact route)

It had a lot of nice scenery and ocean views throughout. There were a few glitchy renderings mostly in the small towns you pass through. I did over two days, but at 58 miles could be completed in a day. If I did it again I would in reverse as much of the time was on the opposite side of the ride viewing cars going backwards in front of you.
