  Locations are missing
Posted by: kamal06tr - 09-17-2020, 08:03 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (4)

Greetings,
Today I received the bike sensor and finally I registered with vzfit and the first thing I wanted to do is to ride in my home town. I followed the instructions, found the location via google map and paste it on the start location but it said no data for that location .. please try another.
Is there any restrictions on the locations ? because I can see the location on google map even I can move around using my computer but on the vzfit explorer it says no data for that location .. grateful if you could advice.
Best regards

  Quest 2

Looks like the new Quest (2) will be out in the near future.  Will VZPlay and Explorer work on this new version?  Specs say that all games that work on the Quest will work on the Quest 2.

  Confusion reigns
Posted by: ellingmel - 09-14-2020, 04:31 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

So I have my sensor (for bike) and controller - tried linking the controller to the Occulus app on my phone - it won't connect - tried 10 different times.

Decided maybe I wasn't starting at the right place - went to vzfit and logged in to my account - it says I have not registered sensors yet and to 'download our apps'. There is a link that says click this to download our apps - I click that and it just takes me to the page I am already on.

So far I am just going in an endless loop and don't have an app, or anything I can do with this hardware that I purchased.

Please help me figure out what I am missing?

  Hearth Frequency by Smartwatch

When VirExplorer went out, in 2017, many people don't have a smartwatch.

Now a good smartwatch cost 30-50 euros (look at Mii or Honor Band).

Why don't you make VirExplorer compatible with HR taken by smartwatch?

I know that you made it compatible with Fitbit, but now there are many better smartwatch...

  Newbie Issues
Posted by: Vixster - 09-08-2020, 08:12 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (4)

Hello all! Vic B. here.

I just bought an Oculus Quest, stationary bike, and Fitbit after hearing about VZFit from a friend and fellow member.

I'm only in a handful of riding sessions with VR Explorer.

Several times I interrupted a session unintentionally which is part of my learning curve of how to use the Oculus and VZ Fit.

After completion session, I am not seeing my stats from the restart populate in VZFIT online or pushing over to my Fitbit.

Until I figure this out, is there a way to pull my distance and time stats for each individual ride session so I can manually update states in my Fitbit?

Is there an existing workaround solution for this issue? Or am I doing something wrong?

I am using the CooSpo RPM Cycling Speed and Cadence Sensor.

Thanks in advance.

Vic B.

  Cadence Sensor Calibration
Posted by: Zack71 - 09-07-2020, 12:13 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (5)

Hello,
I've bought a cadence sensor IGPSPORT that works well.
The only problem is that there isn't a correspondence between rpm in Virzoom and rpm on the bike.
The round per minute on Virzoom are about the half the real rpm.
So if i go 100 rpm, on Virzoom I go at 50 rpm.
This is not very good, because It seems always that I go very slow.
I tried to mount the sensor in different position in the bike, but this didn't change anything.

Is there a way to calibrate the sensor so that it shows real rpms?

Bye.

  Workout in 3d enviroments
Posted by: Zack71 - 09-03-2020, 11:07 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (3)

I tried to run with my bike in VR Explorer, but I was disappointed.

The quality of 3d experience is very low, becausa data are collected by street view.

Did you never play with BoxVr or Pistol Whip?
You dont need a realistic world to have fun with VR!

I'd like you to add the possibility to run in virtual roads, where you can make your workout (eg interval or hiit) with a trainer.

You could introduce same interacting elements, like obstacle to avoid.

With Quest you can use your hands: you could permit to see your hand in game.

Bye.

  Facebook concerns

Oculus has announced that they will soon require Facebook accounts to use Oculus VR headsets. Will VZFit support other VR systems by then, or will we all be required to get Facebook accounts to use VZFit?

Photo Missing Stats
Posted by: laurel - 08-30-2020, 05:09 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (24)

I'm still having problems with the really low Explorer stats I'm getting for the rides, and now whole rides are missing from my weekly digest. I have no idea what is going on. The stats seemed to work before when it recorded the longest ride I've done - approx 55 miles on July 26th, 7108 spins. I haven't been writing down each ride so can't tell when the problem started.

Best  can tell, my bike agrees with the mileage shown in the rides themselves, minus the odd minor jump. My spin estimate of 130 spins = 1 mile agrees well enough with the mileage shown by the bike and by each ride as it counts down.

The rides themselves behave totally fine with the miles counting down correlating to the number of spins the ride shows. After a break, the spin numbers reset but the ride continues from the proper point and the miles continue to count down. I'm on difficulty 1, but that should only affect how the optional trainer operates, not the stats.

The last ride on August 29th, the usage page shows I did 272 spins instead of the 3001 in the 'completed ride' photo!  https://scontent.fyvr4-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v...e=5F728621
No idea why the mileage on the photo is so off - I think it was fine until then.

Three of the four rides I completed don't show in my weekly digest.

Received August 30, 2020:
Hello laurel, this is your weekly digest from VZfit.
You completed 10,308 spins this week. Your goal was 5,000 spins. You burned an estimated 1,562 calories.
VZFit Explorer
You completed the following rides this week:

  • VRFS: Bealach na Bà - Scotland
Here is a screen shot of the usage page for the last week:  https://scontent.fyvr4-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v...e=5F714B1B

This is what I actually completed:
August 24: the scotland ride as above, completed in one day
August 25: GoHybrids 67's Rutti to Lucerne V2, completed in one day
August 27: Mguerena's Nova Scotia Cabot Trial, completed in one day
August 29: Mguerena's N Ireland Causeway Coast, completed in one day and in a single uninterrupted session

Thanks,
Laurel
