Bike the Drive Chicago Charity Ride suggested ride added to Explorer |

When talking to one of our users yesterday he mentioned a Chicago ride for charity that he usually participates in this weekend. Unfortunately due to the state of affairs in the world right now it had to be cancelled. While we can't open up the real roads for people we created the route in Explorer to share for the event.
We have added it to our suggested rides and made it our Free ride as well for the weekend.
Bike the Drive is a charity that helps Active Trans, a non profit focused on sustainable transportation, stay in business. Without the funds from this years ride they are struggling to stay alive. If your interested in finding out more, or participating in their other virtual events you can find out more here:

Graphics Engine |

Just curious, what graphics engine is VZFit using?
With the Oculus Quest celebrating its 1st year and largely eclipsing/subsuming the Rift S with Link support, and Epic unveiling Unreal Engine 5, and confirming continued support for the Quest, has the VZFit team considered using the Unreal Engine instead?
https://uploadvr.com/unreal-engine-5-vr/
When I play games like Red Matter (using Unreal Engine) and The Climb (uses Crysis Engine), I'm really blown away by what can be graphically achieved on the Quest, and I just wish my Rally/Tour rides were as graphically immersive.
If rewriting for those engines are too big an effort, what about just doing it for Rally/Tour and make it a different application?

loading problems in Explorer |

I've been having frequent poor performance in Explorer since the first May update. I got stuck three times today during my hour ride and had to switch to a different ride to proceed.
Almost immediately when I start the view from the horizon down goes really blurry and then shifts to a really psychedelic streaky pattern and then I kind of go off the edge into solid blue. Today I turned on city mode just to try to get through my hour. City mode helped but it was still blurry from the horizon down all the way around me for the whole ride.
I've been using Explorer regularly for a couple months now and I would have the occasional problem loading in the past, especially when the headset power gets low but I definitely feel like it has gotten significantly worse lately.
I have been loving this app and have told all of my family and friends about it but today it was literally more trouble than it was worth.

TERRIBLE performance of TUNAI button + CooSpo sensor |

I wanted to use VZFit on my Quest. Since the official sensor kit is no longer available (why?), I bought a cadence sensor and a media button for VZFit myself. To be sure that they would be compatible, I went with the devices listed at the top of the compatible devices: The TUNAI media button and the CooSpo cadence sensor. Pairing the devices was already rather painful since it didn't work with the Oculus app, but I was able to eventually do it from within the Quest headset via the "experimental" settings. The cadence sensor also took a long time to get working, after restarting the headset at some point it was able to connect. Ok.
I can change the volume with the TUNAI button reliably, so its connection definitely works. But the performance inside VZPlay/Explore is awful! The "A" button takes forever to react! When I keep mashing it for several seconds, at some point it actually triggers and resets the view, but it's completely unplayable! And yes, I did try pairing the button with my phone and it works there, it's not a hardware issue with the button. So I don't know why you guys wrote on the list that it "worked great in testing", because it performs terribly!
I'm also not happy with the performance of the CooSpo sensor, which you listed as the official partner so I hoped that it would be the best I could get. There is a delay of several seconds between me starting to pedal and the game reacting to it, and the RPM inside the game are very loosely connected to my actual pedaling speed! Sometimes it speeds up or slows down for no apparent reason, making it impossible to do challenges like "keep above x km/h". It also breaks the immersion and I don't feel encouraged to do sprints since they are not registered.
I don't know why I don't see anyone else having these problems, apparently everything works fine for other people? Is something wrong with the Bluetooth in my Quest? It seems to me like the issues with the button and the sensor are related, is Bluetooth just losing packets all the time? That could explain why the button is unreliable and why the cadence sensor just misses beats.
Did anyone else have issues like this? Did they get it to work? Because like this it's just not fun and I'll cancel my subscription...

I just played "Officespaced's Unknown 11 Ride" which is on Cactus Forest Dr outside Tuscon AZ. What a beautiful route!!!
It's got a lot of turns and hills so challenging for dots to track the road. But what makes it really unique are the depth cues you get from all the cactii.
