Does VZfit work with power meter pedals?
Posted by: HiroLion - 10-21-2020, 10:39 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (4)

Hi!
I just bought Quest 2, and Garmin Vector3 to use with Zwift as well. (and a spin bike, cadence sensor, etc. the whole set)
And I am wondering if VZfit is compatible with the power meter pedals.
It says at the start of the app that the garmin vector3 is connected, but i don't know where I see if its working, is it in setting or other menu?
It still takes a few seconds from pedalling to take effect. It's not as low latency like in Zwift.

  From Zwift to VZFit
Posted by: skicavs - 10-20-2020, 08:14 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (3)

I have been using Zwift on my tablet for awhile with a wahoo trainer and the spin bikes at my gym (both bluetooth+ANT power meters and resistance control). I have Zwift linked to Strava where everything upload
I've just gotten an Oculus Quest 2 and am very excited about the potential of VZFit to be my new virtual cycling platform. I have a few of the issues I have run into so far and am curious how people have gotten around them.

- Sweat, even riding for 20 minutes I can get quite sweaty and some of the Alpe du Zwift rides I have done required mops to clean up. The Quest doesn't seem quite up to that, is there a special padding or setup that makes it easier to clean for regular riders or breath a bit better?
- Device integration and numbers, speed and 'spins' are nice but having power, cadence, speed and having all of the affected by the current terrain makes it feel more realistic
- Ride stats? It would be nice to see old rides, curves and download .fit or .csv files for each ride
- non-VR users? One of the fantastic things about zwift is there are always thousands of people just riding around so you don't need bots and you always have someone to race against. Until headsets really catch on some integration with normal users would be useful
- Music integration (normally have spotify on my tablet, harder to adjust when wearing googles)
- Autopilot, sometimes I don't feel like body steering (it's difficult to push as hard while steering), but don't necessarily want to lose my place

  Viewing scores for Events
Posted by: suzie_k - 10-20-2020, 05:18 PM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

Hi,

I used to be able to see the list of Event scores on my headset, when I select the current Event, but now it is just blank.  It is just me, and what can I do to fix it?

Many thanks,
S

Posted by: AkRoger - 10-20-2020, 07:55 AM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

Hey, New here I now have had my quest for over a year and just now found out about this VZfit. I looked at the web site they have about 4 or 5 approved sensors for the pedal. What's every recommending to get that works with the quest?

Thanks in Advance

  Match Ups on Explorer
Posted by: JimHenry57 - 10-19-2020, 06:17 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (6)

I really like the ability to do match ups on Explorer although I find a lot of people have their microphones turned off.... I'm wondering if this is purposeful or if they just don't know about the chat feature. I've been able to connect with a few people and I find it really enhances the experience and often am chatting with someone in another country, which is very cool. I feel like it would be great to arrange rides ahead of time and "meet up"... is there any way to do this? Perhaps just by posting on here...

  Explorer Paths Obscured
Posted by: rehu - 10-19-2020, 07:43 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (2)

Hello,

Ever since the last update, the paths are now obscured by any 3d objects, including when the road simply is risen just a little bit, making it difficult to see where to go.

Sometimes the 3d renders a side street or corner as a wall and you can’t see where to go at all. I was lost at one point because i couldn’t see the path had jumped a street to the right. it was only after I poked my head through a 3d rendered brick wall to the right of the direction I was heading that I was finally able to see the rest of the path in the blue void.

Love the app and I’m sure the change was made in the interests of helping others with a sense of immersion, but it would be wonderful if there was a setting in Options to change it so the path is always on display beyond 3d objects like it used to be. The immersion of the path not being visible around corners is a fine effect however that same immersion breaks much more for me when I hit an invisible wall because I couldn’t see the path had jumped to the other side of the road for a few dots.

Thank you again for the app, needless to say it’s made this year a million times easier to get through. Can’t stress that enough.

  Quest 2 Gamepad pairing troubles
Posted by: Loyalty - 10-16-2020, 07:41 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

Hi Everyone,

I just updated from a Quest 1 to a Quest 2. My 1st try with linking the game pad worked great and I got to finally get back into the competition. Today though, it will show up, but the moment it connects, it drops and then stays on 'connecting'  This is regardless of the method used (App or Experimental Settings). I've tried turning off Q2 and pulling the battery for 30 seconds, forgetting the pair and trying again....still not connecting.

Was there an update to Oculus firmware overnight or something or is my gamepad going bad?

Thanks!
-Tim

More details: I put it in pairing mode and the blue LED flashes. Once it connects, the light turns off. Then it drops and the pairing LED starts flashing again. It does not reconnect though. The only way to reconnect after that point is to forget the pair. It simply does the same thing though.

Quest 1 was factory reset and not powered on btw

Pedal crank arm flush with bike body
Posted by: geodrome - 10-15-2020, 07:42 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (2)

I'm looking at this bike, but the pedal crank arm is flush with bike body. Would the VZFit sensor work if attached in the short bit between the bike body and where you put your feet? Or should I choose another model?

Here's the model. (Sorry - it's in Russian, but just open the first pic)

Oculus Quest 2, Schwinn IC4 - how to get them working together?
Posted by: wukong543 - 10-15-2020, 04:41 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (3)

I managed to get the two vzfit apps installed onto the Oculus Quest 2 but when I run the VZ Fit Play it doesn't detect the bike.  It did give me a code that I was supposed to put into my vzfit account but didn't write it down.  How can I access the code again?  Also, how does Oculus Quest 2 connect to the IC4 bike considering the headset doesn't have bluetooth?

Thanks, Patrick
