I've created the kml, uploaded as per https://www.vzfit.com/explorer/upload_kml/ but still can't see my new route in the Created folder. What am I doing wrong? Tried to attach to this post but it says the type of file attached is not allowed.

If you can share a link to the Google My Maps, enable sharing, I can take a look. Usually it means the export was not done properly. You only want to export the Layer your directions are on.

If you can share a link to the Google My Maps, enable sharing, I can take a look. Usually it means the export was not done properly. You only want to export the Layer your directions are on.

Exported and tried it with no real problems. It does appear to start inside a building so once I drove out onto the road I had to switch rendering views a couple times to get myself to be on ground level.

Fixed - rookie error - I had left the location box blank - all working now. 10km down, 1850km to go.

Will do. I did the west coast a few years ago (real not virtual) and with the lockdown here in Dubai I thought I'd add the rest of the coast to the route. Watch this space!
