I have the Rift too. It still works great! I can still play all of the latest games on it as well.
I purchased the Go when it first came out. It is lighter, has a higher resolution, but a slightly lower FOV. It is very comfortable to wear. I really like the Go, but for different reasons than the Rift. it is like a portable movie theater, when I travel..it takes up very little space in a travel bag. I can lay on a bed or recliner and watch movies or surf the internet in the most ergonomically comfortable position. For what you get...the price on the Go is fairly reasonable.
