Deleting failed maps

I have uploaded some gems, but also some - em, not so great rides that I would like to delete.  Is there a way to do that?

Yes!

In the Explore Menu->Created tab you'll see all the rides you've created. Click the Options button on each and you'll see a delete button. The options menu is context sensitive so only shows the delete button, and the share button, from the Created tab. Note you can also forget rides from the Recent tab this way.
