Cannot Start VZFit Explorer

Finally got the VZFit Play to start and run. Currently using the recommended CooSpo cadence sensor with my Oculus Go and Go controller.  However, cannot start the VZFit Explorer.  It says i need to pedal forward to start.  However, the sensor clearly worked with VZFit Play games (tried the tutorial and the cowboy game).  Any insight into what the problem is?

We have a few questions and things to try

Are you running Explorer by launching it from the Oculus dashboard, or by selecting the EXPLORER option in Play's main menu?

Have you tried rebooting and then running Explorer?
