Weekly spin rankings
#1
Could we do weekly rankings like a top 50 or top 100 spins within a week or most games played or most minutes spent cycling. I feel like it could add another layer of competition. It could also give people who recently made accounts the feeling that they can be immediately competitive even if they havent had an account as long as the people who may be in the 100 for overall number of spins

Hi, we’ve got weekly Events for VZfit Play that rank your cumulative score in a designated game each week against others. We could add a special Event which just ranks Spins across all games (Explorer too). Will look into that.

Weekly or monthly spin tables would be great. I'd quite like to be able to search by time periods as well so I can see how many spins I've done in 2019 versus 2020 or February versus January etc. A player comparison feature could also be cool. I'll never catch the top 4 or 5 on here for total spins but being able to see how many I've done versus them in a particular week would be neat.

Yup we’re planning to add this month as a special event, which you’d see at vzfit.com/events along with the other weekly and head-to-head events for Play games. Those provide comparisons with other players as well as a history of all previous weeks. The difference is it would score you no matter game or mode you play to get those spins in a week. At some point we could add a chart to your stats page to show just your own spins over time.

This went live last week at vzfit.com/events!

It shows who's got the most spins every week, like our old "Virtual Km" leaderboard. Everybody who gets on a bike in either Play or Explorer is entered automatically.

It’s awesome to see how many spins people are putting into VZfit. The total so far is around 2 million spins per week.

Also now all of the weekly game events are entered automatically, so if you play Oval Race this week from either the Events menu or the Games menu, you'll be on its leaderboard.

So...I had the most spins last week. But I didn't see any badges or anything added to my profile. Are the results just archived?

We haven't yet created badges/goals for winning events, so yes they are just archived for now.

Note that we're still looking into the errant spins record you logged last week, which might affect your standing. Will report here when we fix.

Yeah...that would affect my over all standing...but I didn't see any errant numbers that would have affected my weekly spins.

I'm not in the habit of calling out others (folks might not be paying attention) but I've seen some crazy high daily spins associated with other user accounts too.  One person longed 25k spins in a single day!

Maybe they really did achieve that number...but their public user stats show that they rarely complete 5k spins per session...

Speaking of overall stats...I just jumped up again...I didn't look at my numbers yesterday (Maybe I didn't look Friday either), but I jumped over all from roughly # 23 to #16. It might be legit..it might not... I'm thinking not...but I couldn't tell you my exact figures.

I do know that I am at -8 GMT, so it is common to see my times split between two days, making it more confusing when reviewing my stats. Numbers from previous days bleed over into numbers from the following day, and individual workouts are not broken out. The numbers show I did 19k Spins one day...20k spins the next... I've never done 20k spins...I know I exceeded 15k spins on 3/28 after riding for 4 hours and 61 miles... my longest ride using VZFit Explore.

I use Fitbit to track my ride. I do this, because the clock doesn't pause...so if I need to take a prolonged break...I want to make sure I put in my full 2 or 3 hour workout. Could this be affecting things?

I haven't been counting "spins",but I do keep detailed exercise journals. Here are my journals for the time I have been using VZFit:

Thanks. We don't need to go into details here, but I can see a single misreported piece of telemetry on our end for you. There's redundant data in our telemetry that will allow me to identify and fix impossible cases, but I also want to know how it came to be. I'll DM you if need more help!

We found the problem and retroactively fixed. Your Weekly Spins win was unaffected, your issue happened before then. Smile
