In a normal google maps search, there's a toggle switch that plots a route without using highways.
It'd be great if we could use that switch when building Explorer routes.

We'll look into if such a switch is possible using Google Directions. Our longer term plan is to allow ride authoring and importing from Google My Maps, to make any custom ride from A to B not just shortest path.

iFit has this ability. Might check out how they do it. I can create my map on my computer and then import so that I can use on their machines.
