It looks like it could work on the elliptical you pictured, but you'd have to check that there's enough clearance between the rotating arms to attach our sensor. Our sensor is 1/4" wide so you need 3/8" clearance for a full revolution.
Ellipticals feel pretty natural but you'll probably want to use the stationary grips for our games that use the button a lot. It takes an extra level of skill to control the button with moving handlebars
